NYC Employment Law Daily is run by “Publius” a former labor and employment litigation attorney in New York City with experience representing both management and employees in a broad range of labor and employment matters.  As a reformed attorney, Publius is looking to provide the people of New York City with information that will educate them as to their legal rights and, if appropriate, connect individuals with attorneys that can assist them.

  2. Steven Michaud says:

Dear Publius, I am a retired attorney who spent 28+ years as an in-house corporate attorney, trying now to give pro bono help to an immigrant neighbor who I think was unfairly treated by one of the biggest companies in the NYC area. I have spent hours at the NYC Bar library and taking CLE courses in an effort to figure out the basics of litigation, and have drafted a complaint to file in Kings County Supreme Court. It would be very helpful to be able to speak to an attorney with some NYS litigation experience before filing so I can avoid the pitfalls of the rank amateur, but despite canvasing legal referral agencies have found no one willing to discuss this with. If you had any suggestions I would be most grateful.
